Dr. Manju Mehta - 

Former Professor & Head, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, AIIMS, New Delhi



Dr. Manju Mehta is a highly revered and respected personality in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and has been associated with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the last four decades. Summing her achievements and accolades in a mere paragraph or two would be an injustice to her vast experience and contribution towards the development of the field of clinical psychology in India. Having done her DM & SP (now M.Phil) from the prestigious NIMHANS, Bangalore, Dr. Mehta pursued her Ph.D from the illustrious PGIMER in Chandigarh. She also pursued her Masters in Medical Education Technology, from Dundee, in United Kingdom in addition to her training in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) from Albert Ellis Institute, New York. As a former Professor of Clinical Psychology at AIIMS, heading the 'Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit’, Dr. Mehta has been widely recognized for her efforts in the development of psychology in India.


Dr. Mehta has been conferred upon many distinguished awards and her work in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health has found immense recognition not only in India, but abroad as well. To name a few, she has been awarded the ‘Best Clinical Psychologist Award by Delhi Association of Clinical Psychologist’ (2000), ‘Niloufer Award for the Best paper `Improving coping skills and reducing externalizing and internalizing problems among school going adolescents using a brief CBT Module’ (2009), ‘Luke Clack Award for the Best Paper - Assessment of Sleep Disturbances in children with Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)- 7TH Congress of Asian Society for child and adolescent psychiatry and allied professions and 12th Biennial Conference of Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health’ held on 25-28th September, 2013-New Delhi, and the ‘Life time achievement award by ICMHAIIMS’ (2014).


She has held the esteemed post of the ‘President of Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (2010- 2012)’, ‘President - Indian Association of Clinical Psychology (2011-2013)’, ‘President of ISPRAT (Indian Society for Pain Research & Treatment)’, ‘Member, Advisory Committee at the Central University of Hyderabad & Patna’, and ‘Member, Advisory Committee at the Centre for Cognitive Sciences, Allahabad University.’


Dr. Mehta has many acclaimed books authored by her to her credit, in addition to around 48 chapters, 168 publications and more than 200 presentations in national and international conferences. Her recent co-authored publication, ‘A Practical Approach to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents’ by Springer (2015) has found acclaim in various parts of the world. She is currently a consultant with Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi, and is positively transforming the lives of many with her treasure of knowledge and experience spanning over many decades.


Mrs. Pratima Goel - 

Student Counsellor and School Psychologist, Mater Dei School, New Delhi




Mrs. Pratima Goel has been associated with the field of Adolescent Mental Health since the last two decades and has been actively involved with various schools and organizations working in this field. She is currently associated with the prestigious Mater Dei School, New Delhi, as the student counsellor. She holds an M.A. in Sociology in addition to her Bachelors in Psychology from the eminent Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. She is also empanelled as an executive board member with ‘Vidya’, a leading international NGO that specializes in the education and empowerment of less privileged children, youth and women. She has been working with children, adolescents, youth and families, and has been influential in starting a Mental Health Program across 3 schools and 5 community centers in Delhi and associate schools in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune. Her work involves active interventions and follow-ups to ensure that every student, adolescent, and adult is emotionally stable, as well as physically and mentally healthy.


In her current association with Mater Dei School, she works directly with adolescents and their parents, and conducts workshops on various topics relevant to adolescent well-being. She is also actively involved with the 'Samuel Foundation' where she conducts workshops for personality development, and motivation for adolescents who are learning vocational skills. She has also been closely associated with leading senior mental health professionals, empanelled at Max Hospital, New Delhi.


At the national platform, Mrs. Goel has also been influential in guiding a larger audience through her discussions on LOK SABHA TV on ‘stress and depression’ and her discussions on ‘safety for children of working mothers’, and ‘toys-impact on aggression’ on DOORDARSHAN.


Dr. Shivdasini Singh Amin - 

Former Associate Professor, LBSIM, New Delhi



Dr. Shivdasini is a well-known name in the academia for nearly two decades and has positively transformed the lives of thousands of students through her career as a teacher, a mentor, a trainer, and a coach. Her professional tenure as an academician spanned over 21 years, before she moved to the field of training and development in 2015. Her last academic profile was that of Associate Professor, Management and Organizational Behaviour, at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi.


Currently, she is associated as a Senior Certified Power Coach and Mentor with Coaching and Leadership International Inc., and holds the post of the Vice Chairman - Indian Society of Training and Development, Allahabad Chapter.


She has been acclaimed as the Associate Certified Coach from International Coach Federation and Accredited Practitioner Coach from International Institute of Coaching and Mentoring with over 5000+hours as a career coach. She has also been awarded as a Master Neuro-Linguistic programmer, by the Richard Bandler Institute.


Throughout her professional journey, she has influenced many students by imparting education, coaching and mentoring, and facilitating students to make appropriate career decisions. She has also been involved as a trainer for students, conducting capsules of character building, personality development, and counselling adolescents on career planning.


Dr. Shivdasini has many national and international publications to her credit, under domains of Human Resource Development, Management, Organizational Development, and Motivation Enhancement. She is also a life member with many leading societies and networks like the National Human Resource Development Network and the Indian Society of Training and Development.


Mrs. Indira Gupta 

Educationist and Former HoD-English, Hans Raj Model School, New Delhi.



Mrs. Gupta is a dual post-graduate having 35 years of experience as a teacher and a mentor nurturing students of various age groups through their development from a child to an adolescent and even to an adult. Having witnessed the ever changing education industry over the last 35 years, she has been actively involved in guiding and inspiring thousands of students through her career as an academician. 


During her association with Hansraj Model School, she has been influential in promoting the importance of language in the curriculum with her innovative pedagogy and techniques. Having been closely associated with adolescents for three decades, she has had the opportunity of seeing the most transient phase of an individual's development and she had been instrumental in guiding the life and concerns of these adolescents related to academics, behaviour and seeking career clarity. Currently, Mrs. Gupta is involved in developing a model for the promotion of language education to the deprived sectors in the society.
